Executive Officer
Captain Jason Martinson

CAPT Martinson is a native of Houston, TX. In July 1995, he enlisted in the Navy and completed Basic Training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes.

In 1996, he completed Aviation Electronics Technician ‘A’ School at NATTC Millington and reported onboard the NAS Cecil Field Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department (AIMD) Sea Operational Detachment. During his tour at AIMD he embarked onboard USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN-73) and USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN-71). In July 1999 he was honorably discharged from active Naval Service and set out to pursue his college degree.

In 2005, he received his commission through Officer Candidate School at NAS Pensacola and was designated an Aerospace Maintenance Duty Officer.

He has completed operational tours as Maintenance Material Control Officer at Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron THREE (HS-3) with Carrier Air Wing EIGHT (CVW-8) embarked on USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN-71), Maintenance Material Control Officer at Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron ONE ONE THREE (VAW-113) with Carrier Air Wing FOURTEEN (CVW-14) embarked on USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN-76), and as the Carrier Air Wing Maintenance Officer (CAGMO) at Carrier Air Wing SEVEN (CVW-7) embarked on USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN-72).

Shore assignments include Division Officer and Van Operational Detachment Officer In Charge at Fleet Readiness Center NORTHWEST, Readiness Officer at Commander, Helicopter Sea Combat Wing Pacific, Aviation Maintenance Management Team Officer at Commander, Naval Air Forces Pacific, Force Organizational and Intermediate Level Maintenance Plans, Policy and Process Improvement Officer at Commander, Naval Air Forces, Officer In Charge at Fleet Readiness Center SOUTHWEST DETACHMENT NORTH ISLAND, Production Officer, Fleet Readiness Center SOUTHWEST, and Fleet Readiness Deputy Director, Office of the Chief of Naval Operation. He currently serves at the Executive Officer of Fleet Readiness Center Southwest.

His professional military credentials include: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, Level III Advanced Acquisition certification in Production, Quality, & Manufacturing and Level I acquisition certifications in both Life Cycle Logistics and Program Management. He is a member of the Defense Acquisition Corps and has earned his Professional Aviation Maintenance Officer Wings.

He was named the 2013 Commander, Airborne Command Control and Logistics Wing Maintenance Officer of the Year. His military decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), and various personal and unit awards. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Professional Aeronautics (Cum Laude) from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master of Science degree in International Business Leadership from the University of San Diego. He is married to the former Ms. Tracey L. Ohman from Champlin, MN. They have two sons, Connor and Evan.
